Hypersensitivity to Na disulphite particularly in asthmatic patients. Symptoms/history of GI disease; impaired hepatic, cardiac or renal function; porphyria. Concomitant use w/ diuretics, anticoagulant or antidiabetics. Periodic monitoring of liver function & blood counts. Pregnancy.
